I don't think that's how it works. It depends how many total FA's they lose and how many they add. Level of play may be factored in as well.

They will definitely be in the 'negative' in terms of FAs signed..... I don't know how the 'quality' of signing of one player impacts losing others. That formula has never been particularly straight forward..... But I don't think their losses will hurt them on the field (maybe Birk retiring will hurt the interior line).
