This could be fun.
Kind of obvious something was up when his name came up in the KU thing, but then went to Duke.
I give no fucks. I hope he made millions off Duke
It's been obvious for years that Duke and UK are paying players
And Zona. They snatched a recruit from OSU without him ever even visiting
NCAA should just give Arizona the death penalty as a warning shot to UK and Duke. Outside of that, UK and Duke should receive no other penalties
The Duke response:
I'd be worried if I was an NC State fan.
Just pay them. If somebody can get 6 figures for playing college ball for someone then why stop them? Some people make this shit sound like the person accused was selling kilos of cocaine.
Just make Duke play all their games for the next 5 years with only SEC refs and that will be penalty enough. Without the BS favorable calls those MOFO's get they will be lucky to make the tourney.
No typically there are hookers involved as well.
NC State fans are always worried!
I should have put an asterisk indicating Louisville excluded.
is this surprising to anyone? all the big time college players are getting paid.
I'd say Nike's craptastic shoe explosion more than makes up for it.
But... fuck Duke and fuck Christian Laettner.
Seems like an objection as to relevance would be the appropriate response to RTAs. Can anyone explain how the alleged receipt of impermissible ncaa benefits has any bearing on the breach of contract dispute?
It just looks as if they are bitching about not keeping Zion signed and throwing anything and everything at the bullseye/dart board- hoping something sticks
Jerry Tarkanian, is that you? "“The NCAA was so mad at Kentucky they gave Cleveland State two more years of probation.”
From my experience, that is exactly the playbook lawyers follow. The thing is, the good lawyers like to have a chance of something sticking. Otherwise they are just chasing rabbits....
It's pretty obvious. They are asking for admittance of guilt from Zion. It is a public shaming campaign to gain a monetary settlement.
New York Yankees baseball and Duke basketball have a lot in common because they have both achieved! Even though I don't think any team in any sport will ever achieve 27 titles like the Yankees have, the achievers become the hated which I guess is just human nature. I guess I could add Tom Brady to the hated as well but I think you get my point.
If this story develops into anything it is a Zion problem and not a Duke problem even though Duke becomes the hated by the masses. I guess this is just the way the world turns.
Just let the kids go pro out of high school.
THEN if they don't make a team, welcome to CBB.
