Wow. Really thought they'd be able to work something out. Apparently he wants out, because we are dumb (or smart?) enough to make Thomas a part of our long term plans. The only positive out of this it that Thomas's contract is much cheaper than whatever Goran will make in Free Agency.

Whoever gets him, congrats. You got a hell of a player. I'll always root for him.

At least we still have Bledsoe, Thomas & Ennis at the point so depth is not a problem. Just gotta look to move him for a big man now.

I saw it coming, but thought they'd do everything in their power to keep him. Guess not. I rarely get emotionally attached to players minus Steve Nash, Kevin Johnson, etc... Dragic was one of those guys. Such a likable player and extremely underrated. This is pretty upsetting.

Goran Dragic wants out of Phoenix. According to two people with knowledge of the situation, the representatives for the Suns point guard told team officials in a Tuesday meeting that he has no plans to re-sign in Phoenix this summer as a free agent. With the Thursday trade deadline looming and the clear message now sent that Dragic plans on playing elsewhere next season, it remains to be seen if Suns general manager Ryan McDonough will succumb to the pressure and agree to a deal. The people spoke to USA TODAY Sports on the condition of anonymity because of the sensitivity of the matter. -

The Clippers have rarely retained their free agents that have not already blown out their knees.

We might go thru it again with DeAndre this Summer.

At least your Team was smart enough to have a backup plan.

I love Dragic. But, he's gonna be 29 on a Team full of Thunder Cats.

Maybe it's for the best not to spend Max money on a guy when the rest of your core guys need another year or two to mature.

I agree Sting, this is why I hate getting attached to players now, especially this era where nobody stays on a team more than 5 years. What a disappointment.

Maybe. The 3 we know about are also teams that need a point guard, have or can have the cap space to max him and still be able to get the players to contend.

Monroe would have been a steal last year since no one had the balls to offer him the max, now several teams will probably be after him.

It was only a matter of time with Dragic, Suns have to get what they can from him and move on.
