ESPN's Dianna Russini reports the Giants feel Ohio State QB Dwayne Haskins "doesn't fit" with the team.
Russini adds the Giants are barely scouting him. ESPN's Jordan Raanan speculates the Giants aren't interested because the team doesn't see enough "elusiveness in the pocket" from the 21-year-old play-caller, creating a sense of doubt the front office can't seem to overlook. It's asinine, but the powers that be are clearly interested in sticking with 38-year-old Mike Francesa-favorite Eli Manning under center this upcoming season and instead using the No. 6 overall pick on a "safe" option on the opposite side of the ball. GM Dave Gettleman ostensibly telegraphed his infatuation with Saquon Barkley well before the draft last year, getting gushy and stating he was "touched by the hand of God" after selecting the former Nittany Lion No. 2 overall. A similar picture is unfortunately being painted for the once-proud franchise this year.

Hodkenson could be interesting. He is a do it it all TE. With Davis being old and Reed injury prone and making way too much money. The pick makes sense.

i wont argue with you about hokenson at TE because your view makes sense

but here is a question i put forth in another thread

i think we are 3-4 players away on defense to be a top 5 defense . not so on offense . should we move to make our defense top 5?

I like that idea. We simply cannot address everything so what about drafting BPA on defense? With Payne, Foster and Collins maining the middle of the defense, we can add OLB, FS, ILB and CB with those first 4 picks. I could be on board with that actually.

Truth be told actually, I would like 2 WRs in the draft...one with an earlier pick and one with a mid-round pick. I want to trade back from our 15th pretty badly. This is a great draft.

I don't see any defensive player at #15 making us a top 5 defense. Maybe if Sweat slips. Burns is super raw. I think Hockenson is a plug and play player. He gives us a much needed weapon on offense, plus he is a great blocker and doesn't have to come out of the game. I don't know why Marquess Brown is slipping the WR from Oklahoma. That guy is a deseawn Jackson type player and can give you huge plays on offense. He can play all the Wr positions.

Right now im leaning towards offense at #15. Hockenson, Brown, or Ford would be immediate impact players.
