I think this is the first of the 6 playoff games where I am certain we are going to lose. Even though I was hoping to play the Colts again, as the week's gone on, I just don't see a win in our future

What has transpired this week that makes you feel that way?

To be honest, nothing has happened, its just a bad feeling I"m getting. Maybe its the reality of being a bengals fan, I dont know.
In 05, I thought we'd beat Pitt in a tough one; I thought we'd kill the Jets. the first Houston game, i didnt expect much, since we backed in, but didn't trust Houston with a backup rookie qb; the second Houston game I literally had no idea what would happen, both teams were not playing well; and last year I was very confident going into the San Diego.

I guess I've been bengalized

Makes perfect sense. Jesus Christ, you would think the law of averages would somehow work to our advantage eventually. Maybe not.

we're going to whoop ass.

(if by any chance we're losing during the game, it just means we're doing the rope-a-dope)

Not that it matters for us, but Winston is a terrific quarterback. He might be an idiot, but he makes nice throws.

Would you like a mulligan on this post?

I can't really blame him for the fact that his teammates suck and his defense is awful. He makes good throws and he doesn't seem to panic much in the pocket. Yes, the fumble looked horrible, but it was a 4th down play and he was just trying to keep it alive. That said, he's an idiot and he'll probably be too hard to deal with at the NFL level unless he grows up.

Mariota is intriguing, but he makes some really stupid throws across the middle. Someone will need to break him of that.

I agree with all of this except the part about Winston being an idiot. He might be a scumbag, but he was accepted to Stanford, his college GPA was above a 3.0 and he excelled at reading defenses when he was only a freshman. I'm only making the distinction because for a QB it's much worse to be an idiot than an asshole.

First I've really seen of Marriota tonight. At the next level he's going to have to learn to throw from the pocket. Reminds me of RG3 at the college level. We know how he turned out once the NFL figured him out. It's much easier to root for a guy like Marriota though, because he seems to have humility, kindness, and respect as character traits. I think Winston is NFL ready right now, and I would draft him first even though he is a knucklehead. He stands strong in the pocket and has a cannon arm. I can't root for him though, as he's such an ass.

I do believe Oregon will beat whoever comes out of the Ohio St/Alabama game handily. They are a scoring machine that neither will be able to keep up with.

Definitely agree. When I said he was an idiot, it had much more to do with the off the field stuff - So yes, I should have said he was an asshole. You can tell that he is very intelligent by the way he plays football. He seems to be in command of the offense at all times (though the play clock stuff today was a little odd). I think if he could mature a little he could be an outstanding quarterback in the NFL. There is nothing gimmicky about what he does unlike a lot of the other star college qbs.

Green cost us the game against Pitt, but he has won us a lot of games too. There is absolutely no reason to keep throwing AJ Green under the bus with so little regard because of a bad game.

Jesus guys.

Granted, I think Dalton would be a better QB decision making wise without Green on the team, AJ is a humble guy, with morals, a true role model for kids, and is a superstar even with a shitty game.

Let's give Green a break, as he can still help us win a playoff game if he is allowed to play on Sunday, and if he is not allowed, well, we might actually be a more fundamentally sound offense on Sunday for it.

Run - Run - Run, with some misdirection plays, short passes, screens, ball control type offense and no forcing the ball into triple coverage to get Green his touches.

I am honestly not that concerned about our offense this game, as I think Hue will have a much tighter offensive game plan ready for Indy, less predictable, and more run oriented to control the clock. It is our defense I am very concerned about. Which one shows up, and how are they going to get to Luck to put pressure on him?

We just have to keep Hilton from burning us deep, maintain contain on Luck in the pocket and get some pressure on him up the middle. Atkins needs to step up in this game.

I am perfectly fine with lining up in jumbo package and run every down.
I think if AJ is out, they should line Gio up at WR with Hill in the backfield
