Vikes were definitely winners Day 1.

Depending on what we do with our stock piled picks early in Round 2/outside of the draft today and things could be even better.

Unfortunately, we have a lot of needs.

There is only one winner: Mike Vrabel

Kid with a mullet, kid dressed a Frozone, and then Vrabel spits out a big dip but doesn't realize he's on camera

and you don't talk about the guy taking a shit in the top left

Winners:
Cards getting Simmons
Cowboys getting Lamb
SF
JAX

SEA, ATL, OAK (2nd pick) all were reaches but they filled needs.

I wouldn’t say Miami are losers. They had the most picks and it seemed like their last 2 picks were reaches and guys that Round 2 and developing players. I feel like all their guys could have year 1 troubles but possibly could have higher ceilings, just big question marks.

Curran: Calculated Pats stock up for the weekend

This was the fourth time since 2013 that the first round began and ended without the Patriots adding anyone. In 2016, the bleakest draft in recorded history, the Patriots didn’t make their first pick until the third round. Only one of the four guys they drafted that year – Deatrich Wise – has made a measurable contribution.

Patriots avoided temptation to make the right move with 2020 NFL Draft trade

Aaron Rodgers is the biggest loser. GB leadership did absolutely nothing to help him despite supposedly GB being in "win now mode".

Happy with the Browns. They did exactly what we all thought and got a top 2 OT in a nice OT draft class. I didn't think Wills would fall to them.

don't mind the virtual draft. Hoped we'd hear picks sooner after pick was in (figuring don't need to get a jersey ready).

My team? A boring pick, but also a solid pick I think. Liked they had no hesitation and got pick in quickly.

Gonna give the Cowboys a Day one win.

They drafted a guy that was 6th on their board at #17
How do you know he was 6th? Not snark, serious question....anything other than they said so?

still agree solid pick.

It seemed like they were the quickest team to submit their pick. Wills might have been their best OT on the board for what they want.

Only concern I could see is switch to LT, but not like he stayed at RT because he wasn't good enough or Bama was concerned he couldn't make the switch.

I don't see a huge concern bc Tua is left-handed. I think Saban said, the only reason he was playing on the right side is bc you want your best OT protecting the QB's blindside. That being said, it will be something different for him bc he didn't play a ton of snaps at LT.

LOSERS:

Raiders and Packers for sure.

Jeudy and Lamb are the best WRs in the draft, yet they go Ruggs who is just speed? I think the Raiders were swept up in thinking "We can get our own Tyreek Hill!" It would've been better to go after the FAR more polished route runners. Then WTF was up with the CB from Ohio State who probably was a 2nd round pick and has off field/character issues?

As for the Packers, wtf? I get new regimes mean new QBs, but Rodgers gives you a chance to win the Super Bowl as long as he's around. It's more important to surround him with talent (whether offense or defense) to WIN NOW. Not build for the future. Rodgers also has an attitude and is a giant crybaby so not only will he sulk after this pick, but he's probably going to put in MINIMAL (if any) effort to mentor Love.

WINNERS:

Dolphins and Broncos.

Dolphins didn't trade up and still landed their guy. Then got him protection by snagging Austin Jackson who fell some. Yah the CB from Auburn in the late first is a reach and why not keep building your offense up (especially since the Dolphins spent quite a bit on corners already) but the first two picks were extremely high value.

Broncos didn't have to move or trade up and got IMO the best WR in the draft. Jeudy is easily the best route runner and has a high football IQ so it was a no brainer to add some talent for Lock. This will IMMEDIATELY improve Lock as Jeudy is a young QBs wet dream.

Would you trade two of your 3rd rounders for Trent Williams?

The Cowboys were extremely fortunate to get Lamb at 17. Their offense looks absolutely loaded at the skill positions now. Fortunately their defense looks shaky. If they get that shored up in the remainder of this draft though they could be pretty scary.

Yes.. even better for the Cowboys, they prevented the Eagles from snatching him, who had to settle for a much less polished receiver. It also gives them flexibility with their contracts or if Amari gets lazy or injured and needs to be released down the road.

It was a no brainer pick. I think the Boys had someone on defense on their board, but when Lamb fell to them at 17 they were like, "Alrighty then."

EDIT, just saw: Cowboys' Jones: Lamb at 17 too good to pass up

I mean... there ya go.
