I don’t think it was limited to you. I remember saying it will be AT LEAST a first.

You want your team to "grow" with your qb ideally. Washington has a lot of guys in their prime. Stafford is on a very team friendly 20 million dollar deal and they can recoup most of that by cutting Smith. That leaves them the space to add more talent around him.
Obviously as a Browns fan I've painfully seen what late first round qbs can bring. More Brady Quinn's than Aaron Rogers.
Its not a short cut. We have young players at the skilled positions.
anyone know exactly what Stafford will count against our cap? i was reading something about a bonus he is owed, do we get stuck paying that in a trade? i honestly don't know

Roughly 20 and 23 million. His salaries are low (10-12 mil) and roster bonuses are 10 mil.
Is our offense that much better than Detroits? I think Stafford would thrive in this offense, but im concerned about his injury history
But you want to gut the defense to get a QB.
We are a 7 -9 team in a weak division . We need to build the right way and hell you want to give away our whole d/ lineIts not a short cut. We have young players at the skilled positions.
Happy for you guys, got a lot of friends from O......H.....

Whos is gutting the defense?
You want to offer up multiple DL for QBs...that is gutting the defense.
Holy heck
Goff plus two first rounders and a 3rd
I think a couple of us said it would be expensive.
