Carroll was an NFL coach before he came to the Pac 12

Harbaugh played and coached in the NFL before he came to the Pac 12

Kelly's first big break was his HC job at Oregon so ya there's that for ya.

Shaw also has NFL coaching experience before coming to Stanford.

I see 1 out of 3.

ok, so would you be happier if he had said does any other conference prepare a coach for a successful run at the NFL better than the Pac?

The PAC12 network broadcast deals have shoved soo much $$$ in each schools coffers already and every year goin forward, even schools like WSU and Oregon St. can throw money at their coaching staffs and facilities they never dreamed possible just two years ago.

The PAC now has the best overall group of coaching staffs of any conf for sure. But not to diss the SEC, big12, and 10 either. They got some great coached teams as well.

But as overall power, the PAC is #1 right now in coaching talent. This conf used to be top heavy, but it's now a dog fight with everyone for recruits and conf play. Total arms race.

Gotta disagree, the SEC has better coaches overall. Go top to bottom in order and the Pac can't keep up.

I dont know if I would say cant keep up. its hard to say really due to turnover and when and where they take over.

Not so sure on that. SEC spends more money, but not sure coaching talent is much better. Even Saban says his greatest influence was PAC coaxh, Don James

Nick Saban's first head coaching gig is as a B1G coach.

These guys constantly jump around from the NFL, D2, D3, and pretty much every conference.

Almost all successful coaches have a zillion stops all over the darn place to learn their craft.

It is asinine to suggest any one stop suddenly made them great coaches.

It is usually the accumulated experience of learning in multiple places.

PAC-12 homerism is getting as bad as the SEC......just with empty trophy cases instead of 7 titles
