Iowa is kinda frustrating ... because they're one of the few teams in the B1G actually willing to put the money you need in your football program to compete. Yet they're spending elite level money on a coach who frankly .... can't. I know he's been there a long time and he means a lot to many fans but come'on ...

I don't think NU will Kiffen Pelini......I think he's safe till the end of the year. But he's probably being told to pack his stuff. I just don't see how he keeps this job now. He is CLEARLY in over his head.

Well, if Nebraska does fire Pelini at the end of the season, plus are willing to sacrifice going to a Bowl game next year, plus not have their new coach available for the first five games, then the Nebraska administration could consider going after Jim Tressel.

But, remember, not only does Tressel have to miss the first five games, but that also includes not being able to attend practices & meetings for those first five games, and of course there's the first year post-season ban I already mentioned.

However, if Nebraska wishes to pursue Tressel, they had better do it prior to Summer 2014...that is when the University of Akron president is retiring, and Tressel is supposedly a candidate to replace him.

Most of us on the Husker board have wanted Pelini and staff fired since the Wyoming game.

The coaches admit that motion by the opposition has confused Nebraska for the last three years, and the coaches obviously don't know how to fix it.

Every team that plays Nebraska should just run the Jet Sweep over and over and over and over, then throw a pass to a wide open receiver, that can actually catch a ball. If the Minnesota receivers had hands instead of clubs, the score would have been around 49-23.

The answer for Nebraska: get new coaches. Hopefully, Nebraska can get third choice of coaches but some coaching candidates might actually choose Grambling State over Nebraska.
