Since the playoff era no, that list is incorrect.
The real list reads:
Bama
Clemson
Ohio State
and that's it unless LSU wins the NC game. OU is close but they haven't been able to get into the club yet either, they need to win a NC as well.
USC and UF are not close, UF MIGHT be trending up but they haven't even made a CCG so.. no
The playoff era has created a separation in CFB that has never been seen imo, very very exclusive club these days, big separation between those 3 programs and everyone else.
As long as Clemson continues being successful, they'll continue to attract players from the South East. Same with Alabama, but they also get players from all over, including Texas. Clemson will probably start getting more players from other regions soon because of this run of success.
Ohio State might actually have the tightest grip on staying on the elite level because the talent in Ohio is plentiful, and I don't think they face nearly as much competition in signing their in state and regional talent as much as Alabama and Clemson do.
