Dodgers sign Dan Haren 1yr...10 mill

Dodgers make a move to counter the Hudson deal the Giants made. The Dodgers got Haren pretty cheap at 10 mill for a 1 yr deal.

Here we go as the Hot Stove heats up a little more.

The NL West is going to be won by the Giants or the Dodgers...i expect both teams to have a better rotation next year...If Sandoval is healthy & Giants add just another bat its going to be a war between both teams

I dont see AZ or Padres being a threat next season, maybe only the Rockies but thats about it IMO

Yea, it looks like the Dogs/Giants are becoming the Spanks/Sucks of the west coast.

Between those four teams, there are 6 World Series Championships in the last 10 years (and 4 of the last 5). That is domination.

Haren was a good pickup, you have to wonder what SabeySabes is thinking...

Well, IMHO, we have 4 good starters, and quite a number of candidates for #5. My preference (surprise) would be to find a quality RHH LF. Or perhaps he is close to a deal for Arroyo - we'd all be OK with that, too.

No shock here, but:

If LA signs Tanaka, they will have a big advantage.

If somehow we sign Tanaka, it could be interesting, probably a small advantage for us.

If neither signs Tanaka, LA's got the edge on us.
