Personally, I hate interleague. These games mean so much less when they're not playing division rivals. Hate interleague. Hate it.

I agree. Add to that 6 divisions, the playoff tournament, designated hitter rule, and high salaries. Baseball ain't what it used to be. I miss the days when winning the pennant meant you were the best in the league, winning the WS meant you were the best in baseball, and players played for pride and the fun of competition rather than the biggest bucks.

I have never cared for Interleague play, either, though, in this day and age of big money and marketing, I can see why MLB has prostituted itself to devolve into interleague play and tarnish the sanctity of the nation's pasttime.

The other reason I don't like Interleague baseball is that the Dodgers simply have not performed well, overall, in those contests. They have the 4th lowest winning percentage in the NL in those games, so it's usually not a pleasant or rewarding experience for the Boys in Blue.

Maybe a rainout is a blessing in disguise!!:2cents:

Dodgers drop the first of two vs. Orioles and the funk continues. Nice to see Kemp get some hits, but this team still isn't putting things together.

Hopefully Beckett is on the mark in the nitecap.

Yeah, back when during the offseason players lived in the town they played in and sold insurance and stuff. Back when they played for a team most of their career and were known in the community.

Dodgers about to drop two. Very discouraging how this team is playing. Is it time for a Manager change?

Pretty pathetic. I can't imagine the owners letting this go on much longer.

Time is running out before heads roll. Personally, I wouldn't fire Donnie Baseball yet or even consider it. But the clock is ticking and someone will have to take accountability if this keeps on.

So, the inevitable has happened as Billingsley's elbow has flared up and he is on the DL. I think Fife will do okay as he has done previously, but the Dodgers are running out of pitchers. Tough times for the Boys in Blue.

Dodgers come from behind and break that horrid losing streak. Nice effort today........we need a lot more games like this one to get back on track.:suds:

Dodgers need to come up with a long term solution for the Starting Pitching staff. Bills is probably done, at least for awhile, Fife is a nice fill-in, but not really ready for primetime on a consistent basis, and Lilly is always a pitch away from the DL himself........not to mention Beckett has been pretty inconsistent this season as well.

Don't think the Dodgers have anyone ready in the Minors to step in, so a trade may be in the offing. What a turn around from a couple of weeks ago.:gaah:

Yasiel Puig might have figured in the picture, but now he has a sprained thumb. These aren't happy times in Dodgerland.

It was nice to see the Dodgers finally pick up a win today, in spite of losing Billingsley. That's one game that injuries didn't cost us. Fife wasn't terrific, but pitched well enough to keep us in the game. Kemp seems to be starting to pick things up (3 hits for the second time this series) and Gonzalez continues to do well. A day off tomorrow and then we'll see how Lilly fares with the Mets on Tuesday.
