Trust me guys no one wants to contribute more than Matt does. I have seen him on the sidelines looking frustrated at times because he hasn't contributed much. I think he will do his best to help the team when Matt comes back.

I agree Theresa but that's all his fault for not sliding when he got injured that was unacceptable for a player of his caliber...he was being lazy & baaangg!! there goes his ankle SMH!

Yeah but he had lingering injuries before that with the shoulder and stuff la. Matt has learned from that and the Dodgers have kept it going without him. I bet you he wont do that again la

LOS ANGELES -- Matt Kemp and the Dodgers feel the center fielder needs more time to get comfortable at the plate, so Kemp will continue his rehab assignment with Class A Rancho Cucamonga through Sunday, at least.

Kemp now 0-11 with 5 Ks in 3 rehab games (0-3 with 2 Ks tonite)

Kemp is 0-for-8 with three strikeouts in two games for Class-A Rancho Cucamonga. Rancho's season ends Monday, but the Quakes are in the lead for a playoff spot and Dodgers manager Don Mattingly said Kemp could play games there or in the instructional league in Arizona.

Kemp has at least two more scheduled games in Rancho Cucamonga.

"From listening to [trainer] Stan [Conte], Matt's saying he's not comfortable baseball-wise," Mattingly said. "Matt's not going to want to come back if he's not swinging the bat well."

The Dodgers success without Kemp this season has been mighty impressive. If the Dodgers weren't in the playoff hunt I'd shut him down until next Spring, but that won't happen now.

Hopefully he gets his timing down so he can play for at least a couple of weeks before the playoffs start.
