Wasn't he a second rounder? Easy to see he's an unassuming humble guy.
He was very, very popular in Detroit while he was there. For good reason.
What spots d'you play?
(I preceded the mighty Adam Rosalesin college... and quickly got cut. Lol. )
3rd round pick, but from what I understand, it was more that he wasn't perceived as a great talent out of High School. UIC is fine, it's D-1 baseball... but it's not where any top notch players are headed. This could all totally be a part of his image that he likes to portray, as the "underdog". No doubt.
I was mainly a catcher, and played some corner outfield as a secondary position. Had a solid college career. I was a very solid back-stop, and that's really what I loved doing. My problem was that I could never quite get it going consistently at the plate.
