2 episodes in, it hasnt been terrible... just not good... its becoming a simple mindless show just to have on the tv while doing other things...

i hope it gets better... but it does seem like they are done with the over the top messages...

they could have hit us last week with the whole racism... but it was only mentioned, in a pretty normal way actually...

Calling the planet an “Incel world” wasn’t over the top male-bashing? What if the called it an “Irrational bitch planet” instead?

what i meant was last season there were episodes with full plots...

these were just mentions... and was the first episode a male bashing, or just incel bashing... i think incels are pretty fair game right now...

Without 10 years of constant flag waving, I could totally forgive an occasional woke-stance. But as it is, I can’t give them the slightest benefit of the doubt.

The show has been crap since the 50th with each Doctor being miles worse than the last.

but incels have been knocked on tv forever... its the term incel which is new-ish...

i actually did not even catch that when i watched it...

Actually a strong episode. Even the DEI wasn’t bad, because her deafness actually played into the story. Best episode since Capoldi.

SOOOOO glad to see Gatwa hit the road. The new Doctor (if they are, in fact, the new Doctor) doesn’t really excite me, but I like the casting better than both Gatwa and Whittaker. And it opens the door to a LOT of interesting storylines.

But why give a cameo to Susan, then not do anything with it. I understand they have been teasing Susan since at least Capaldi (he had a picture of her on his desk at the university), last week was the first time she actually made an appearance in an acting role since the ‘60s. Then they don’t do anything with her?

What was the deal with constantly saying that only the Doc and the Rani are left of the Time Lords? We know the Master/Mistress is still around. And why continue to deny he has a daughter when Jenny is still out there somewhere (and whomever was Susan’s Mother/Father). I kept expecting Poppy to be revealed to really be named “Susan” or something like that.

Dropped opportunity to bring Davison back as Omega. The whole Omega storyline was kinda anti-climactic, actually.

Overall, though, I love regen episodes. Even when they suck. And as much as I hated Whittaker, it was kinda cool seeing her back for an episode.

I heard rumors of it about a week or so ago, so I wasn’t completely surprised. She was not referred to as “The Doctor” in the credits, though, so it is not a lock that she is 16…
