And it also creates entitled little shits who think just showing up should be worthy of praise.

Pretty much this. Foreman's not a bad RB. But he plays in an extremely weak defensive conference on a shit team. Cook is unquestionably better to the learned eye. He's better in pretty much every stat, against much better defenses. This is really a no brainer. And LOL at the BIG 12 members talking shit about FSU losing to Louisville. Louisville is a damn good team with the most dynamic player in football. They could name their score against UT, and I suspect they'd beat Oklahoma as well, though that would be a fun, high-scoring game.

Half your conference is complete garbage on offense. Those stats for defense are completely inflated. Anyone with a learned eye can see that. Oklahoma would push UL's shit in.

BIG XII 7 OF THE TOP 25 OFFENSES IN THE COUNTRY. 70 PERCENT OF THE CONFERENCE.

acc - 3 of the top 25 offenses in the country. 21 percent of the conference.

YOU LIGHT THE FUSE, THEN RUN AWAY.

Come on man, I try to talk up Oklahoma when I can, and I generally like them winning, but you're setting yourself up for this. The Big 12 has all the top offenses because they pretty much only play themselves, and only Oklahoma has an even mediocre defense.

Look at your few OOC games against (Power 5 and good GO5 teams) this year.

Stanford 26 Kansas State 13
Houston 33 Oklahoma 23
WVU 26 Mizzou 11
Texas 50 Notre Dame 47
Central Michigan 30 Oklahoma State 27
Ohio 37 Kansas 21
Arkansas 41 TCU 38
Arizona State 68 Texas Tech 55
Memphis 43 Kansas 7
Oklahoma State 45 Pittsburgh 38
Ohio State 45 Oklahoma 24
Cal 50 Texas 43
WVU 35 BYU 32

You have 30 total OOC games this, but half are FCS and very weak GO5 teams. Thank god for West Virginia, huh? They're 2 of your 4 wins. And these godlike offenses aren't exactly blowing the doors off teams. I'm looking at 4-9 against not exactly the cream of the crop, except Ohio State of course. Meanwhile, the ACC is 14-8 against Power 5 and good GO5 teams, and they've played some really good teams like Penn State, Nebraska, Auburn, Florida, and Houston.

I was countering an argument and used the criteria put forth. My data is as poignant and relevant as the data provided in the post I was responding to. I could use your angle as well and argue that Clemson's stats are only the product of never having to face any elite offenses in the ACC.

Look, I am the furthest thing from a conference honk you'll ever find...the rest of the Big XII can fuck themselves for all I care. I was just jostling Cam's Whodiddles so pump the brakes and enjoy your last two wins over us. They will be the last you get for a while.

...additionally, you must apply eyeballs when judging teams. Your eyeballs will be treated to a very different OU in the latter half of the season. We held our last 5 opponents to a minimum of two scores below their season average points per game and 4 of them are in the Top 25 offenses in the nation.

We ain't the best I don't think, but we're far from chopped liver.

Here's the problem with the Heisman.

IT's supposed to go to the best player. Not the best player, on the best team, or a playoff team.......but the BEST PLAYER.

Rushing for 2K yards and winning the Doak Walker should place you in that conversation, easy.

I think Lamar Jackson is the best player......but Foreman should have at LEAST been in NY.

Heisman is all about national hype and Foreman has none because his performances are overshadow by the fact that his team lose games a lot. When you hear teams like Louisville you think who Lamar Jackson, Clemson - Watson and Dabo, Oklahoma - Baker Mayfield, Michigan - Harbaugh and Peppers. When I first hear Texas, the first thing I think of is Kansas and firing Strong.
