^^Steelerboy, Lol.

From what I saw, the Steelers would take a $14 mil cap hit, if trade. He's relatively cheap to keep on, and I don't think their problem is @ QB. They're going to have to release Polamalu and some other veterans, and that's going to rustle some jimmies, but has to be done, imo, if they're going to rebuild properly.

Best fit for Ben is Pitt, Chi or Clev.

Nope...a 31 year old QB, with a history of injuries, on the downside of his career is not trade bait for anyone.

I would take Ben over Cam. But I wouldn't offer much for the upgrade.

No way in hell......Theres two things missing from Cam`s game,a better o-line and wrs.
Steve Smith is a former shell of himself. He just plain downright sucks anymore. He can not catch a pass to save his soul.
Lafell is average and then you go to ginn for a 3rd wide out.
Cam is a lot younger than ben and has a lot more upside if he gets those things aforementioned.

I'd say NO for the Panthers. Big Ben would actually be a major downgrade from what we have now. Cam is 18th in QBR while BB 24th. Cam is 18th in passer rating while BB is 19th. Throw in the fact BB is 31 and on the downside of his career. He's still pretty good but I really don't see him being able to carry a team any more. Cam still has an upside, I really don't believe he's gotten to his full potential yet. With BB's injury history, I don't really see him playing for any more than 3-4 years. He's just not worth trading for.

Nice post........

i watch carolina every week.........i just don`t like your o-line or wrs.......Smith wtf up with him these days?

It looks like a decent year for college QBs and Roethlisberger is likely on the wane. It's a buyers market. A trade would bring forward the 2015 $5.8M cap hit into 2014. It only makes sense if the Steelers are 1 of the teams looking for a rookie QB with there being a trading partner willing to match the Steelers demands. My guess is the Steelers will want too much. The Rams will be looking for a QB, but not 1 with Roethlisberger's salary.

Smith has been in the NFL for 13 years, he's still better than most of the other WR's out there, but he has had a couple of bad drops. He's also made great catches and clutch catches when we need him too. I'm really going to miss him when he's gone in a year or 2. Coming back just enough to still get the 1st down late in the SF game comes to mind. LaFell is a GOOD #2 WR. Look at his stats from last year, he's actually better than most of the other #2's out there. Ginn, has shown he can catch the ball and will even go over the middle (as one announcer put it, "I thought he was allergic to that part of the field"). Cam's problem is if he get's rushed, and does not get his mechanics right he overthrows his WR's. Our O line has been banged up all year. We've gone through 3 starting guards, and the starting RG now was a DT last year. Our line could use some upgrading, Gross is not going to play much longer either, so I fully expect a T or WR in round 1 of the draft.
