Bob Suter, brother of former NHLer Gary Suter and father of current Wild member Ryan, has passed away at the age of 57.

Though he never suited up in the NHL, he was a proud member of the 1980 Miracle On Ice team. He is the first member of the team to have passed away, following coach Herb Brooks (2003).

That 1980 Olympics team, delivered arguably, one of the proudest moments for US Olympic sports.

RIP Bob. Thoughts and prayers for your family, and the US hockey community.

Bob is a Wisconsin hockey legend. His last big hurrah was giving Wisconsin more hockey by helping start up the Madison Capitols USHL team which opens its doors for the first time next week.
