There may be one or two players at Florida that could get in to Stanford.

Just the facts.

Hey Chasin' how have ya been? Hope your Holiday's were good. You got any New Years Eve plans?

Good, the company start up is moving along, Christmas was hectic and ludicrously expensive (rethinks having kids)............thinkin' about going into Chicago with the Missus and meetin' a buddy and his hot Romanian chick that's fifteen years his junior to party like it's 1999.......you?

Here's to me being able to look at Michigan's last regular season game and not cringing - I think this will be HUGE not only for Michigan but also the B1G!!! :suds:

Michigan isn't in the west. Maybe in the 1800s it was considered "west"

But nah.

Stanford is on the level of Harvard.

A.) I concur the saying's inaccurate, but that's how long it's been around for.

B.) Michigan is by far the most prestigious state school in terms of academics, but yes since Stanford is a private school like Harvard your analogy fits better.

My holiday's were great. As far as New Years Eve, no plans at all. It's rookie night out on the roads that evening & I don't wanna be out & about when the drinkers call it an evening. And no doubt that's a huge hire for your Boyz & the conference.

It's all opinion anyway. . As far as public Universities are concerned we top 20.. Not near as aweful as you all would like to believe. . But jokes on me. . Stanford is private

Let me explain... I wasn't familiar with Stanfords record back then or who the coach/record was before Harbaugh.. when i looked at their record under H... no to me that wasn't impressive. . I also thought he was only there for 3 seasons not 4.. He did decent but seems to me in Cali he should have pretty good talent but since i don't follow the Pac and their recruiting i really don't know. . Plus just glancing at the first three years with out the previous w/l knowledge you could see where i was coming from

The admissions requirements to be accepted at Stanford are a bit steeper than most other universities. There are leniencies and loopholes, if you will, but not everyone gets in because they can simply throw a football 70 yards, run a 4.3 40, or clean and jerk 400 pounds (and not every student-athlete wants a Stanford level curriculum). Equate it to Vanderbilt going from 1-11 to 12-1, winning a BCS Bowl, in just four years. To be fair, Stanford does have some football tradition but at the time Harbaugh arrived the Cardinal were in shambles while USC and Oregon were running the show.

USC, UCLA, Cal, Oregon, and every other team in the Pac (and most top collegiate programs) dip into California to pull recruits, making it that much more difficult for a university like Stanford to compete. They by no means have a fence built around the Bay Area, let alone the state.

Who cares about Stanford? I would say their graduates who enter the American work force starting at around $250,000 annually in pay.

If by "once in a while" you mean every year since 2009 (because Harbaugh built them up), you are correct...
