Been reading the reaction around the web at the absolute joy that progress is being made.

So Bettman was right. We'll come back. Like that battered wife screaming at the cops to bring back the guy she got the black eyes from because she "loves him". We will keep letting ourselves get slapped around until he finally kills us.

Just my opinion, but it can be unwise to draw conclusions based on web reaction/traffic. Heck, I had to gun down a Oilers troll the other day that thought Flames fans were jumping off the bandwagon due to lack of hits on a particular blog on the hockeybuzz site. I didn't even think people went to that crap filled website anymore.

Diehard fans will always be back watching (probably why they are called diehards). How they choose to spend their money is a different question entirely (Personally, I think ticket sales and merch sales will take a hit. how big a hit, it's tough to say) Casual fans will move on.

Just my two cents.

This is what I dont understand. Every cba from now on be the owners trying to lower the players share. Until more teams make a profit the owners have the ability to lose a year. The players lose money they can never earn back every time the cba ends and there is a lockout.

Ill be glad its back for the businesses and people that truly depend on hockey. will I stop watching no. but I can honestly say in my heart its not the same. I woke up to what it really is because of the greed. ive been very disgusted how this was taken over by the people it did and that small group has controlled so very much. I need to see change in how this is done before I lock in so much emotion into it again. this was very greedy and very selfish of both sides. its going to be interesting to see how the weak teams fair for fans.
