I don't know why player contract length should be a huge issue to the league as long as they put a 5 to 10% limit on dollar variance year-to-year. That should pretty much eliminate the cap circumvention contracts.

That and getting something in on the signing bonuses to reduce the overall cap hit.

I would imaging it's an either/or type of thing. Either we cap the length of contracts or we get a 5/10/whatever % fluctuation limit and regulations on bonuses.

to piggy back off that.. there seems to be a bit of an exodus from europe.. sestito and read are both leaving their teams this week..
