exactly. someones going to overpay.

my opinion: Jimmy not only can play, but he has star potential. hes calm, collected, has great presence in the huddle, and has an NFL arm. he doesnt seem to get flustered much.

i watched him all fall in preseason, and in that (granted, limited) sample size he played, very well...and that miami D turned out to be pretty good.

Miami was 20th in DVOA on defense. It was a pretty smart unit from what I can tell which is why a guy like Vance Joseph is a HC right now, but good would be a stretch. Those LB's are painfully stiff.

Yeah, that seems more logical. The comparison to the Bradford trade seems to largely be apple and oranges to me. A 2nd and 3rd with conditions that make it go up to a 2nd seem fair to me. Maybe a tertiary player to greese the wheel.

Yep, that Bradford deal was amped up by terrible timing for the Vikings, with the season starting soon. Teams have the entire offseason to find a QB currently.

Simply put.

The Texans need to mold and shape their own damn quarterback. We've been using everyone else's backups and rejects since Matt Schaub came to Houston a decade ago.

I don't want anyone else's Schaub or Fitpatrick or Mallett or Osweiler.

The Texans need to get their own damn quarterback and, for once, try that strategy out.

Someone else's backup just isn't good enough anymore.
