We are in the process of moving and we told the lady we we flat our cancelling DirectTv. She in turn gave us free NFL, cheaper subscription rate and all the new equipment. I am not positive, but I think the reason is my wife told her of where I work which sells DirectTv.

streamed the jets/bengals game online. had to switch from the website I used to use last season as they have too many ads now.

Another reason DirecTV blows: I can't even upgrade my receivers to HD receiver without signing a new 2 year contract. They have some of the most ridiculous policies.

I've already signed up for the ticket this season, but I'm cutting them one day after week 17. I can't take the bullshit any longer.

My equipment is a few years old. I've always had DVR, but not HD. To change the DVR to HD + DVR, they want me to sign on for 2 years. I told them I've done the commitment once, haven't left in 5 years, I'm not doing it again. Every once in a while they should do something to appreciate their long existing customers.

I'd be happy with CBS and NBC but direct TV dropped them or visa versa. And DSL doesn't stream worth crap
