Didn't think OKC would be so bad without Westbrook

Damn this is sad. This team will only go as far as Westbrook takes them. Durant major problem is he doesn't make the players around him better which is why they struggle so much when Westbrook is out.

I have to respectfully disagree.

It's Westbrook's tendency to play more like the shooting guard he was in college than a PG that has been the Thunder's biggest problem. Other than Perkins' inability to guard quick people.

Thankfully Westbrook has been exhibiting better shot selection than he used to this year but he's still not a very good PG, IMO.

Like those Cavs right?

Anyway this is the #1 reason why Durant should not win MVP. If he was so valuable he would be able to carry OKC to victories while Westbrook is hurt

This isn't the first night they looked crappy without Westbrook.

Off what I see in the box score the Thunder's problem is more likely Adams' inexperience than anything to do with Durant.

Perk shouldn't have to play as many minutes as he has tonight.

It's hard not to when a Heat fan makes a thread knocking Durant for not being able to "make his teammates better".

He really misses Harden. Ball handler, distributor, and scorer.

No doubt. If they had Harden right now they would be fine without Westbrook but now he must do everything when Westbrook is out

They've only dropped a couple of games, they will be alright - no question that they won't win a title without Westbrook though

Over 50% of Durant's made shots last season were assisted to him.

Other SuperStars like LBJ/Melo/Wade were under 40% in that same stat.

Durant needs Westbrick more than Westbrick needs Durant.

I said in the Durant is the MVP thread I think it was, that his chances (of winning MVP) will drop as OKC starts losing games...I watched them in the postseason last year without Westbrook...they were not a good team. OKC has now lost 4 of their last 6 games and I expect them to continue to struggle.

On one hand it is really unfair to put this all on Durant, every one wants to knock Westbrook but he is the reason Durant is so efficient. If KD wins the MVP it should be the first ever shared trophy in the history of the MVP. Westbrook also plays some great D, you can not replace that.

On the other hand, Durant was supposed to be playing a few weeks with out Westbrook in the beginning of the year and he had all off season and preseason to work on his game, not to mention last year's playoff experience.

Bottom line, OKC will be fine when Westbrook comes back and is healthy and their coach should be fired.

This was his chance to solidify the MVP, it looks like LBJ is the front runner again despite KD's stats looking better.

Durant needs Westbrick more than Westbrick needs Durant.

I have been saying this for a while now, glad to see someone else feels the same.

Westbrook is the fuel that revs the Thunder, without Russell, Durant and the Thunder struggle to keep the offense flowing.

I love Lillard, but I would take a healthy Westbrook over him without even blinking.
