Idaho President Offers Tasty Wager to Nebraska Chancellor;

MOSCOW, Idaho – University of Idaho President Duane Nellis wants to share a beef with University of Nebraska-Lincoln Chancellor Harvey Perlman. Literally.

The two land-grant universities will meet on the football field in Lincoln, Neb., on Saturday, Sept. 11. Nellis proposes – in partnership with AgriBeef Co. – that when the Idaho Vandals win the game, Perlman and the Huskers will send a prime grade, corn-fed Nebraska beef tenderloin to Nellis and the Vandals along with plenty of Nebraska corn.

If the Nebraska Huskers win, Nellis and the Vandals will send to Perlman and the Huskers an Idaho Snake River Farms Kobe beef tenderloin, along with a healthy amount of famous Idaho potatoes.

Idaho’s last win against a BCS-conference team came in 2000 against WSU. Since then, it has lost 20 straight to big-conference schools by an average of 29.6 points per game.
