I find it amusing that so many cretins at the old ESPN boards thought the Colts sucked for Luck. If you watched every game, as I did, you easily recognized how pathetic their roster really was. And if you really think about it, these guys all play for pay. I am sure they all sat down and collectively decided to ruin their careers and end their compensation by playing as badly as they obviously did out of pure and unbridled loyalty to the Colts franchise and that stellar motivator Jimmie Irsay. He likely swayed the ones who would have otherwise demurred.

And as good a job as Grigson has done up to now, he, more than any of us, realizes the daunting task he has ahead of time to make this a complete team. Chris Polian left his mark on this team. A stain that will take a while to erase.

Looks like everyone is back on the Cam Newton bandwagon. The difference between Newton and Luck is the Colts are as good as Luck plays and Newton is as good as the Panthers play. Newton isn't close to the QB Luck happens to be.

I would say one of the biggest stats for me with Luck and why I think he is going to be a star in this league is the fact that he has the most 4th quarter comebacks in the first 2 seasons of any player in NFL history. Now I know that can be skewed as the team has to be behind to make a come back and some quarterbacks could have maybe done that if they had more opportunities but Luck has shown to be the guy everybody on the team looks for when they are down and looking like they are out.

On the flip side of that with Cam he has lost a ton of close games where he had opportunities. Athletic ability I don't know if there is a quarterback out there that can be as good as Cam in that aspect but actual rising to the occasion give me Luck above any other young quarterback in the NFL right now.

yeah taking a 2-14 team to 11-5 while losing other players is a horrible argument. How easy do stats come taking over the worst team in football? I hate when people look at stats only say look. Fact is undeniable that Luck took over the worst team in football. & I am not a Colts or a Luck fan.

Sorry, I think the Colts did tank for Luck, perhaps not individually, but systemically.

I just dont see how an NFL team purposely tanks. Too many moving pieces. Manning was a monster piece and they didn't know how to respond to losing him.

Caldwell, his entire staff, the entire front office and 70% of the roster was turned over the next year. Dont try convincing me that they were involved in a tanking.
