On the topic of Indiana, I wasn't aware that Indiana ever had a legitimate chance. They was a good team, and they fought like championships, but honestly they really never had enough power to get the job done. They just didn't

Wade being injured helped immensely and I have to admit I like them over the Heat but still like the Weest teams over the Pacers.

I did a little research. I went back 34 finals to 1980 (Magics rookie year).

I will summarize the following quick facts. No 4 seed has ever won. 1 and 2 seeds account for over 79% of teams in the finals.

3 times a seed lower than 4 went to the NBA finals.

The lowest seed to win the NBA finals was the 6 seeded Houston Rockets in 1995, they repeated that year.

The Knicks went to the finals in 1999 as an 8 seed, and lost 4-1 to the Spurs.

The only other time a team lower than a 4 seed went to the finals was in 1981 and it was the Rockets.

Only twice has a 4 seed gone to the finals. In 2010 and 2006, the Celtics and Mavericks respectively, both losing.

9 times a 3 seed has gone to the finals. They are 4-5 in the finals.

38 times a 1 seed went (of 68 possible). That is over 55% of the time.

16 times a 2 seed has gone. That is over 23% of the time.

1 and 2 seeds in the finals account for over 79% of teams.

In other words I was right and he was wrong? Anyone who is a true NBA fan knows that the playoffs are not a crapshoot. You pretty much know that in order to win the title you need to be a top 3 seed in your conference.

The Indiana Pacers are in great shape this season. I think the key will be what Danny Grainger brings to the team. They are 2 deep at every position though. Word.

I'm not so sure about the depth. The two forward positions are good, but they still don't even have someone to run the point well. You know Rondo would take the ball at will from their PGs.

Yes I am aware that the lowest seed to win is the 6th so anyone from the 1-6 seed can win it all. I know the 8th seed has been to the finals who're never won it though

There are worse point guard rotations in the league than George Hill and CJ Watson. Word.

The only team that missed their chance was the Spurs, imo.

Lol exactly they didnt. They will be better this year too

They will be slightly better but Miami got better and so did Brooklyn and Chicago. The Knicks are the only team who can challenge them who did not really get better.

No 1-3 in each conference. 6 seeds do not make or win nba titles

Might be a slight chance but it's a chance. Lets just put it this way 4 teams in the east have a chance to go to the finals. And 6 teams in the west have a chance to go

Miami will be as good as last year IMO It's a wash IMO. Pacers did get better by adding Danny granger

Well for the next 2 years I see the Heat and Nets on top the East, so maybe for a couple years they lost their chance. There young though, so will see.
