Which brings up death by firing squad - not cruel or unusual punishment IMO. Perhaps the State should just OD the murderers on some straight fentanyl they recover off the interstate drug traffickers. Mexican and Chinese drug lords won't sue the State.

this was an untested mix, and per articles it took 23 minutes for death, where the estimate was 15, so some wonder if it was unusually cruel. personally, i think similar to what you are saying, these people killed someone else, what does it matter if they have a little cruel punishment to go out.

Using a high powered .30 caliber PCP air rifle would be a good choice for an execution. 30 to 50 shots to the head and chest area would do the trick. I bet it would take less than ten rounds though. There may be some screaming from the savage who is being executed, but that's okay considering what their victims went through.
