nope didn't go. i don't understand how people can commit suicide via sleeping pills, but states have trouble getting the drugs necessary to do this.

also, if you can't tell, i'm for the death penalty. I'm not for the tax burden that prisons put on law abiding citizens and inmates on death row should be executed to clear space imo.

I've researched that and apparently only works like 2% of the time from a heart attack.

hanging is the most effective way....I guess its the vogue way now too.

that piece of shit was on death row for 24 year, 7 months, which was about 24 years and 6 months too long

A kid from a neighboring town of mine when I was in high school got in a fight with his gf, got drunk and shot himself in the head with a .22

It didn’t kill him and now he’s permanently fucked up for life riding around in a wheel chair.

This kind of stuff actually happens frequently, as well as people flinching at the last second and blowing part of their face off.

I haven’t heard of a whole lot of failed hang attempts though to be honest.

why not just dope them up on some pain killer / sleep aids then cut them and let them bleed to death. that seems like it would relatively painless and they wouldn't have to worry about getting any specific drugs to stop the heart. isn't cutting a pretty common and effective form of suicide? at least until the person is found, but in this case you just let it go until death. Not dissimilar to someone dying on an operating room table.

Which brings up death by firing squad - not cruel or unusual punishment IMO. Perhaps the State should just OD the murderers on some straight fentanyl they recover off the interstate drug traffickers. Mexican and Chinese drug lords won't sue the State.

I understand, it can be a messy miss if not done right, no pun intended. A failed hanging creates a lot of issues afterwards. This is not to be taken lightly, any method really sucks. That is why they call it the silent epidemic. Mental health is one of the least funded research areas in the world.

My dad fought in Sicily and N Europe during WWII and had a guy sitting across from him in a halftrack take a 20mm German AA round to the back of the head.
Dad took a facial wound, he hinted in a backhand way once that it might have been part of the guy's head. He got a purple heart for it that I keep safe, I'm sure dad wished he could have gone home but it was back to active duty for him.
