Goaltending hasn't been the problem, the D has been atrocious and defensive breakdowns among the forwards as well. Like they turned off their brains for the summer and forgot to turn them back on again. It's one thing when a player gets beat, its another when they aren't even in position to make the defensive play to start with!

Should be a good game. Flames have really surprised me this season, thought they would be the worst team in the NHL based on their roster, but they've been a fun team to watch and they're getting some wins. Although the Devils have yet to get a win, they've been very competitive in 3 of 4 games, and would no doubt have a couple wins if they could only hold on to leads. Doobster picks the Devils to win 4-3.

Unlike the other games where we were shooting ourselves in the foot, we're controlling this one and the refs have now impacted the game twice with horrific calls. Not only should the Ryder one have not been a penalty it should have been a goal. Still have to kill them off though, can't let them score every single time we're shorthanded.

I still have to get used to Jagr carrying the puck all the time. He either makes a great play or it gets stopped (more often it gets stopped). That Jagr-Elias-Zubs line has been solid.
