Dude
That lineup today took me back to the days of Shane Halter, Craig Monroe, and Mike Maroth.
Of course they win using junk. Go figure.

Tigers lineup:
LF Mikie Mahtook
3B Pete Kozma
DH Victor Martinez
C James McCann
1B John Hicks
CF JaCoby Jones
RF Niko Goodrum
SS Jose Iglesias
2B Dixon Machado
P Mike Fiers
Well duh, I've been saying for weeks Niko Goodrum is legit!
um....who is he again?
VMart......I said at the start of the season....give him to Memorial Day and see if he has anything left to offer. OPS only around .650, he'll still give you an RBI every so often, but I think it is time to consider Stewart who is hitting well in AAA. Let Cabrera finish the year at 1b (if he can stay healthy) and use Stewart as DH and in LF against lefties.
Here's the rub: If the Tigers were all-out to win this season, I would cut Victor loose in a heartbeat and bring up Stewart. But because they have little chance of winning, it doesn't make sense to lose an option and an arbitration year for Stewart.
As a fan, it is definitely maddening watching Victor hit grounders into the shift, or popping out with RISP.
In his next trip out to visit Ryan Carpenter on the mound today, I think Gardenhire will be holding a bus pass to Toledo.
Miggy - No HEART? Hard to believe. LOL
Tigers are stuck with a $154mil 'sandbagger'? Detroit's front office hopefully has told Miggy and his agent to check out teams who would be interested in taking his contract, poor attitude, and aging body.
That contract has zero chance of aging well. I loved that Mr. I was loyal to a lot of players, but damn it hurts on the back end....
