Brady Singer (rhp) who was the #2 pick overall last summer, but did not sign, will be available. He might have the advantage of being a player who could reach the majors quicker. He'll be the ace of the Univ of Florida staff this spring.

Good point. To some extent, Avila could still blame the minor league decimation and problems with old, expensive players on Dombrowski. But from this point forward, it's Avila's team.

I'm hoping Avila and the front office bite the bullet and swallow the final year of VMart's contract. (Sure offer him around first - but a weak hitting, DH only, with a heart problem????) No need giving ABs to VMart , over some youngster, in 2018. Another good way to separate from the DD Era.

I'm rooting for buyout or retirement with Victor.

Better to have Hicks and Holliday both, or someone else that is capable of playing the field, somewhere.

So glad this season is over, hope next season we have a few kids to look at.

Candelario is going to be a nice all around player.

I'm not sure how much more youth will be around to start the season though. Stewart in left makes sense to me, but he hasn't played AAA yet. I think we're gonna have to wait for pitching that might impress.
