I agree. Day off tomorrow, so you can pretty much empty the pen today. And of course, it costs JV two more earned runs (inherited runs given up by A. Wilson). Just hope the bullpen can hold Verlander's lead for once.

On the rare occasions J-Up's bat puts a ball in play...it is a hit better than 1/3 of the time. If you take away his strikeouts (MLB leading, btw) he is one of the top hitters in the AL.

It's very hard to rank Girardi as a manager. He has had some awesomes season that allowed him to overachieve and he has had a couple of duds as well.
