Shane Greene made his first rehab appearance, throwing 42 pitches over three scoreless innings. He allowed just two hits and a walk while striking out five. Beau Burrows came on and pitched five more innings of no-run ball

The Mud Hens lost a close one on Friday night in painful fashion, allowing the game-winning run to score on an error. Matt Boyd pitched a solid six innings and struck out nine batters while allowing six hits, two runs, and a walk.

Melvin Upton hits game winning homer. Brother Justin? Collects Major League leading 64th strikeout.

Ausmus? Sits on his hands and keeps taking orders from the top to play J-Up..no matter what. (Tell us again Brad how contracts don't influence who you play!)

Is maybe a sign that Fulmer can be our 3rd starter? Hopefully? Doubt it right?

Hey I have a question, do you consider K-Rod a Hall of Famer?

Maybe.

Depends on how much career he has ahead of him. Two more years as a decent closer and a couple as an eighth inning or short setup guy, he could be.

Barring injury he'll pass Cy Young in games pitched later this summer. (He's 33rd Alltime right now.). He'll need to pass Lee Smith in saves though. And he'd need to be a closer for a couple more years to do that.

Rivera and Hoffman are the only relief sure things imo.
