Nobody saying the team is going to get good overnight if one of those take over. But Avila allowed Brad to be a lame duck. You pretty much need to fire him ASAP at this point and get a new regime next season.

In the 8th, he could have pinch-hit Casty for the pitcher instead of using his backup catcher. Instead, he pinch-hits Salty there, and screws himself for the 9th. Salty very well could have whiffed in McCann's spot in the 9th, but we'll never know because Ausmus screwed himself out of making any moves without effing up the catcher position.

This doesn't excuse the 20 whiffs by the Tigers or slight the same for Max. It's just an example of a manager who is consistently making head-scratching decisions in-game.

Lefties are hitting over .300 against Max. Rights something like .160. Right handed pinch hitters weren't really anything I was looking for when a lefty was available.

The main reason the Tigers lost was Max Scherzer. Not disputing that. All I said was that Ausmus took away some better chances to tie or win the game.

When I try to explain Ausmus' bad moves, he just calls me a joke. Fuck him dude. He doesn't really want to have a conversation about anything. Sick of his shit. This has been going on for 7 years and he hasn't changed 1 bit. He does this in every Michigan team board too.

Most people agree with me. I know you like every manager the Tigers hired and stated that Ausmus was a great hire 2 years ago. But you need to realize that it isn't the case at all. I notice the only coach you really wanted gone the last 5 years was Caldwell, who has had a decent overall record with the Lions. Shit blunders and all. Some of you guys act like managers have no influence on the outcome of the game and are just there collecting a paycheck, like any of us would be qualified if that were the case.

Sorry that I don't follow along with the crowd and scream "Fire the Manager" at the drop of a hat. I have always felt that was the easy way out. You give almost any manager good players and he becomes a good manager. Ausmus #1 problem - he does not have enough good players. (I know, a Tiger fan SHOULD think all Tiger players are good - or will be good)

I hope, for some of you, that firing the manager will make you feel better. And your yelling about it here will make it seem like you've been heard if or when it happens.

However, if you think you are also punishing Ausmus....think twice.
