No offense, but QS is the most overrated stat for pitchers along with Wins. His WHIP was 1.43 for the game which is not good.

Explain what you mean? Max has sick movement through the zone and one of the best fastballs in the MLB. You have to describe which batter he left in 3 times to KO because there were several.

In the 8th, he could have pinch-hit Casty for the pitcher instead of using his backup catcher. Instead, he pinch-hits Salty there, and screws himself for the 9th. Salty very well could have whiffed in McCann's spot in the 9th, but we'll never know because Ausmus screwed himself out of making any moves without effing up the catcher position.

This doesn't excuse the 20 whiffs by the Tigers or slight the same for Max. It's just an example of a manager who is consistently making head-scratching decisions in-game.
