He has a good breaking ball and change-up, but when your fastball is 88-89, those other pitches have almost zero effectiveness.

We know that, why doesn't Ausmus......My nephew has 15 mph between his changeup and fastball, I'm pretty sure Ausmus knows it as well.......KC was rubbing it in our face by putting a pitcher in the Pen and Ausmus trying to show confidence not putting a pitcher in the pen.....Fuck those mind games, just win the game and quit worrying about mind games vs the other teams managers.

I was wondering the same thing. I have a hard time believing he could save 37 of 40, or whatever it was last year, with a fastball that rarely cracked 90.
