I am sure in a perfect world the Tigers have Machado playing SS with Iglesias at 2nd for 2018... with an in house option taking over LF and RF, Boyd, Norris, and Fulmer or some other combination of prospects in the rotation for 2018, with in house guys taking major roles in the bullpen... Perfect world.. but there is a real chance Burrows ready in 2018 also.

If they were able to get all the roles filled in house (asking a lot) their payroll to start 2018 would be under 130 mil.

Reality would probably more likely to see them resign JD Martinez or some other high profile outfielder after 2017 and have a payroll closer to 150 mil... with room to add payroll if they wanted.

Tigers have ''in-house'' guys that are worth a crap? I have not heard about any. But, I am sure Vice will tell us about all these can't miss prospects down in A ball just waiting to bust loose - like so many other prospects have recently.

BTW, Vice....Read on CBS that some Rule 5 pick is a good shot at being a utility infielder for the Brewers? I guess "you know who" isn't impressing, so far.

In house guys that will be MLB ready by 2017...

LOL iffy. If you were actually a fan of the Tigers I would talk to you about this... but you aren't so its pointless.

No position players ready. Of course, you will claim some obscure guy will be ready soon, or that Moya will find himslef. The point is....EVERY team has these guys. Detroit lacks the celebrated prospects. Where are the Seagers, the Sanos, the Buxtons, Linfors...the guys that get the ink, the ROY guys?????

Machado will be ready to play SS... Iglesias will shift to 2nd...
LF will be either Moya/Stewart/Gerber
The rotation will be filled with boyd/greene/fulmer/burrows/norris/ziomek

these aren't obscure players.. they are top prospects in the system. Stewart will most certainly be ready for a role by 2018.. maybe even 2017.... Gerber is going to be in AA this year and will be ready soon too. Jacoby Jones could be moved to the outfield and be ready by next year... Moya will be given a shot soon too... Which of these guys are obscure and what are the odds that every one of them end up being below average.. I am not even counting Tyler Collins...

I said it would take a perfect world.. but to act like its not possible is the shit trolls say.

Jacoby Jones, Christian Stewart, Machado, and Gerber are all legit position talent that could be ready in the next year.. and Moya just as easily could pull his head out of his ass and be in the MLB too.

Tigers need 1 player out of the Moya/Gerber/Stewart pool to be ready to start 2018... very possible
Tigers need 2 players to be ready to start out of Fulmer/Boyd/Ziomek/Burrows/Greene.very possible but less likely
Machado or Jones will be ready at SS when Iglesias can be shifted to 2nd to take Kinslers place... very possible...

So explain to me iffy what part is so out of the realm of possibility... here?

You made my point, no position players are near ready. And you are EXPECTING all these players to continue to develop their talent upward to the major league level? Not one will stall at AA or AAA? This is where you screw up Vice...ala Hernan Perez. Just because you get drafted in the single digit rounds and have some success in rookie and A ball does not GUARANTEE major league success. I think you believe it does. They are all legit!!! And no other team has talent that is equal or better? Then why isn't the Tiger's farm system rated better than it is? Vice - you are a homer.

Machado is already ready to be in the MLB. Moya is knocking on the door.. he was second in the international league in HR last year... Jacoby Jones will be in AAA this year.. You are clueless iffy... I don't even know why I attempt to talk baseball with you.. you don't want to do anything but troll.

Most teams haven't traded away their top prospects at the clip the Tigers have in the last 5 years. If the Tigers still had Thompson, Leyba, willy adames, they would probably be a top 15 farm right now.

Why not mention Moya's OTHER stats? Or Jacoby Jones' problems? Or the fact that Machado's fielding wasn't rated strongly at AAA last year or that his lifetime minor league BA is under .250

Swerve....I am talking what they have NOW! Don't change the subject. If you can't defend your point of view on the topic...shut up!

Fulmer is the 47th ranked prospect in baseball.. Burrows is considered in the top 150 prospects... and a good bet to be in the top 100 next year.

Not all players that end up all star caliber were top 100 prospects... JD Martinez wasn't... neither was Josh Donaldson.. or arrietta was barely a top 100 prospect...

Not according to AAA ratings. Listed as average fielder with below average bat.....and that is as a AAA player. This is your starting SS for 2017. And your LF might hit 25 homers, strike out 160 times and hit .225.

You keep telling yourself how good he is....and we'll keep wondering why he is at AAA. (Hernan Perez) Face it Vice, if a ballplayer has a 'D' on his uni...you elevate him above others. Right now, Detroit has no one in their system (except Fulmer) that other teams see as a top prospect. Don't worry though....you keep flapping your gums, and one of these days you'll hit on something.

Sort of like the Royals, huh? They MIGHT finally prove you right and not make the WS this year......LOL
