Most of the media and fans are going to rip Ausmus for bringing in Greene in a spot like that since he has been struggling for a month and a half. But the offense also gets a lot of the blame as well. They seemed unprepared for this game.

Red Sox win and Tigers' chances remain decent. You just have to count on two straight wins from Verlander and Fulmer (in the makeup game).

If luck is on their side they do have a chance. I'm rooting for JV to shut them down tomorrow though regardless. Love his resurgence. Cabrera as well even though he could have done more this game.

If the new Tiger ''hero'', Justin Upton, had played just a tiny fraction, during April, May, and June....like he has done recently....the Tigers would not only have a Wild Card spot already claimed, but possibly a AL Central Title.
