8 strikeouts and 7 hits through four innings. That'll pump up your pitch count in a hurry.

He only threw 12 pitches in the 4th. 88 PC now. Still needs a relatively quick 5th to stay in line for a 'W'.

88 through 4 innings. I guess that gives Norris a shot at the 5th inning and a win. He did throw over 100 pitches in 2 games at Toledo. (In little over 6.0 innings!!!!)

I'd guess after the game, he will say he didn't have his best stuff but powered through. A gutty effort, if not a pretty one.

He's also over .200 now, meaning Andrew Romine is the lone Tiger who is currently sub-Mendoza.

Upton not running hard on a ground ball, SS boots it, still throws Upton out. Salty follows with double....Tigers lose a run.

This why Tigers aren't a top level team. Give up a run with a poor sloppy defensive play. Then lose a run by a lack of hustle. (But I think it may be more of a sign of wildly overpaid ballplayers who don't give 100% after they have theirs)

Marlins now outhitting the Tigers in this game, 14-13, and in the two-game series, 30-22. Their LOB total is atrocious.
