Now this is fun, a board where every-body gets to urinate on each other. I'll take the fall for saying Verlander has "become" mediocre and until he beats "a front runner" he is pitching just like a 4 and 4 pitcher should pitch. (BUT, at $20 mil per, unexceptable)

Wish the infield had some range. Texas keeps getting bleeders and now a pop fly slops in.

Four game series in Texas, and Kid Rick is the only starter to get thru the fifth. Definitely the best starter of the series. Possibly the Tigers best starter of the month of May. Alright bullpen, you can rest tomorrow.

Walking Miggy to load the bases seemed foolish to me. But then to have the shift on while pitching Prince outside seemed even more so. Either way, three run double, Tigers take the lead, and this game is ridiculously slow paced.

All year I'd assume. It's not like he's looking bad at the plate. (or that there are any options who could better fill the DH spot.... Jim Thome? Tui? Nicky C? Garcia? Avila? Ramon? Ha!) And he still has 19 RBI I believe.

I'd consider giving Tui a shot....if VMart is still near the Mendoza line come the the end of the month.

Because of his career long track record, you have to keep V-Mart in. Maybe let him bat 7th until he seems to turn the corner. Dirks would fill in fine in the 5 hole until then.

I really can't see Tui taking starts away from VMart. I could see Kelly starting at first while Prince DHs happening first. It'd help the defense quite a bit. But I don't see it happening, nor do I want it to.

Now if there's a shortstop hiding somewhere who can move his feet and hit .204, I'd support Jay Honny getting a few starts at DH.
