Muzz - there is a stat for 'important' hits. In fact, they have been counting late inning hits for years. Stats never lie. The problem is that some people read them incorrectly.

It is great to see the top of the order guys filling up the stat books. However, I think an underestimated guy so far is Dirks. I think by the end of the year we will all see he is closer to the .300 hitter he was last year then the .240 guy so far this year. He also mixes it in with a little pop with the bat and a stolen base here and there.

I'm glad Raburn didn't have a "Important stat" tonite.

The game was well out of control and Raburn didn't factor into anything.....Something you won't bring up.....He was on the bench or the Indians that arn't contenders thought his defense sucks so bad, no need to embarrass them any further.



I will say Heath Bell is rocking my world in my fantasy league.......Thanks Heath........Had to put J.J. on the DL but Heath is doing a bang up job.....Go D-Backs!!!!

You're not going to find to many arguments here.......Diggler is a scrapper.....He's a good ball player.....He will be here all year (barring injury)...

It is time for the Tigers to reverse their daytime trend. 9-11 day games, 11-3 night games. I suppose there are a lot more "B" batting lineups on day games than night games.

lack of fundamental baseball again. Inability to score runners from third with less than 2 outs. right fielders trying to throw runners out at third allowing runs to score (twice this week from Hunter). probably enough talent to win the division. but as evidenced by the sweep in washington, will not work in the playoffs and for sure not in the WS.
