He didnt need to use wieters as an example, he didnt need to say any players name. Im glad ou understand its a discussion board, proud of you. How do you know that, i mean you seem to know everything but how did you know that wouldnt bother wieters? Maybe it doesnt, i dont know. I was just curious why buck did it, how it would be advantageous to him to say it, nothing too hardcore but im not sure the right answer would come from you though.

This is why I rarely post here.. Its fun to bounce ideas and thoughts off people with open minds.. but when you get people here that act like you... it makes it about as fun as sitting on a nail. You don't like posters with advanced knowledge of stats and actually research the team more than the average fan? You like chatting with people that barely know the players on the big league team let alone the minors? You like chatting with a guy that flip flops about players like vmart who has a career ba around .300 but was chastised by guys here for starting out slow after sitting out an entire year? You can have it.. I can walk down to the the local bar here in miami and have a better baseball discussion with an 80 yr old cuban dude than this. At least he is open minded, listens, and has good points to add... Its not a competition to see who is right.. we are fans of the same team.. and the point of a discussioon board is to discuss each others opinions and knowledge.. you obviously just want everyone to tell you you are right... so I will hit the road.. I got a old cuban dude to go talk baseball with.

DID YOU KNOW that the corner of Michigan & Trumbull is NOT the original home of the Detroit Tigers? The team was actually founded in 1894 and played its first two seasons at Boulevard Park, a rickety wooden ballpark located at Helen and Champlain (later Lafayette) near the Belle Isle bridge. It wasn't until the 1896 season that the Tigers started playing at The Corner, the place they called home for the next 104 years. The accompanying photo is the only known photo of Boulevard Park.

cool stuff.....

The lineup I gave was a typical 1961 lineup. Charlie was on the bench most of that season. His big years were 1959 and 1960. With Colavito and Kaline in the corners, Paw Paw didn't start much.

I bet the Yankees with some cash would love them some Max Scherzer.

I agree the Yankees with cash are like a group of monkeys with a loaded gun. Never a good thing!

Stankees will have some $$. with or without a roid. When max becomes a FA in 2015 Yanks only have Arod, Tex and CC signed for that season. Max is a pretty smart guy, not sure being a flyball pitcher he wants to go to a bandbox. It will be interesting being reped by Boras who loves FA how Scherzer who wants to stay long term in Detroit plays out. We shall see. Tigers will have reversed role with the Yanks having less $$ on the books in 2015 than detroit.

Miggy playing tonight? Iglesias playing? I see garcia went to the minors. Sox couldnt get rid of rios so garcias stuck in the minors. The sox think garcia will be an excellent CF according to the tribune today. Since the trade the chicago media has been in love with garcia. I think he gets a shot once rios gets traded in a waiver deal. Lets hope the tigers dont play to the sox level and think they will win just by putting on their uni's. seems like sometimes the tigers get bored vs the lesser teams. I hate the first pitch swinging tigers. Take your time, the bars will still be open.

Maybe Jhonny doesn't get suspended.... We have a new starting second baseman.... And Omar is the utility player he was destined to be? Nah.... Johnny's getting suspended. Otherwise it just wouldn't even be fair.

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE......

Let's not over-hype Iglesias. Yes, he is batting .330.....but in July, his BA was .205 with 0 HR and 1 SB. If he hits .250 for the months of August and September - consider it a win.
