Does Ortega throw a screw ball? Cuz his mid range fast ball tails back to the right a lot. AA batters must swing at a lot of garbage. Mitch Williams today was saying Rondon needs to throw LESS pitches for strikes. I don't think that is possible. And Im guessing The Wild Thing didn't see much of him in the spring. It's too bad he's brought his trade value to near absolute zero now.

Should have guessed that the Tigers would struggle against the worst pitching staff in the AL. Astros came in with a team ERA over 5.5

It's mostly Bedard and Peacock that are killing their ERA though. Bedard has to be about out of chances to keep starting.

Drawback to SportsHoopla, I can't look at oodles of stats without leaving the site. Not gonna lie, I miss names being highlighted linking me to career stats. (baseball card style).

I'm assuming Bedard and Peacock are killing the team ERA iffy. I don't know for sure. They both are doing horrible this season.

If an AL team can break the AL records for loses (Tigers 119) it is the Astros. But the Tigers have to help get them to 120.

lol. Nate was born in Muskegon, Mi. Where he grew up or lived later - I have no idea. Maybe the only real connection to Muskegon is that is where the hospital he was born is located. My birth certificate says Detroit, MI....but I only lived there a couple of months as an infant.

Nate has re-discovered himself this year in Baltimore. He is still on my All-MI team. However my new search for a Michigan native to add to the Tigers' roster is Anthony Bass (Dearborn/Taylor) of the Padres. Good long relief pitcher and spot starter. Plus he has a downriver connection that could go big in Detroit...(see: Inge)

I've used Brandon Bass several times in fantasy so far this year. As has your favorite poster. You sure Nate re-discovered himself this year? Sort of remember that already happening last summer... But he may have done it again, I can't be certain. Certainly is one helluva defensive outfield in Baltimore though.

Nate mcClouth.....ive told you this before.....thats prolly why you posted about the hospital, because WHITEHALL MICHIGAN DOESNT HAVE A HOSPITAL........whitehall michigan is 20 mins north of muskegon......nate was born at one of the 3 muskegon hospitals.....his parents lived in whitehall....after he was born and had to leave the hospital, im sure they headed straight to whitehall.....my cousin josh robart played baseball on his teams all the way from little leagues up until high school.....my cousin at one time was 2nd in the state of michigan in HR's only behind d henson....also had held the record for most consecutive HR's....my family and nates family are close....i have met him at 4 of my cousins graduations.....the only time nate prolly ever came to muskegon was to play at marsh field vs the muskegon big reds....you can argue with me up and down about what a website says.....i know exactly where his house is he lived his WHOLE childhood.....in fact his parents still live there.....and my aunt told me last year nate had donated a chunk of money to whitehall school, who just built a brand new school in the middle of nowhere, and used the donation towards the baseball field and i guess some pretty nice uniforms...but tell me once again about what some website that doesnt know jack shit about him says.

And please show me a link about lovello being the next big thing....i found online where sparky said it about pittarro.....got one of pittaros old cards that had that in the facts on the back.....even remember the opening day when pittarro was supposed to take over and be the next big thing....it snowed heavily at tiger stadium....i also believe they were going to replace lou whitaker at 2nd with him...

Now if sparky said that about luvollo, which i never had heard....and im 110 percent sure he said it about pittarro, because i remember trying to collect as many of his rookie cards thinking he was the next trammell, then i guess sparky was saying it about everyone....i did look up lovullo up and saw nothing of this....but if you look up pittaro it came up what sparky said.....in fact i have a few lovello cards let me go check em out
