Looking special is - Ryan Raburn. Two straight games with 2 homeruns. Batting .320. The Tribe is already planning a Ryan Raburn Day. bronco and muzz I am sure will drive to Cleveland to see that. (Get me a Raburn bobblehead OK?)

I am surprised KC has been playing as well as they have. I don't think for a minute they will hang with Detroit all year but they are definitely a better product than I have seen from them in some years.

Shields was a great pickup.

With a weak Central minus Detroit they could be a wildcard contender until the end. Although I don't see them ready to actually win a playoff spot yet.

If KC continues to get strong pitching from Guthrie and Santana they may stay above .500 for awhile, or maybe all season. But I seriously don't see that lineup being potent enough to contend for the playoffs. There's no power really. A few high quality complimentary hitters, but no star. Hosmer and MM aren't bringing corner infield production. And Frenchys arm only helps prevent runs. Maybe next year.......

I got news for you. If anyone stays above .500 all season, then they will be in contention for the playoffs until the end.

Yeah how many times have we witnessed a great hitting game or 2 by ryan raturd, only to be let down the next 40 he played until he did something good again...for every run raturd produced hitting, he was sure to give a few back in the field.

I think the royals will be a thorn in the tigers side all year.

Well u cant win em all, but we better stay focused on houston. Have to beat up on the teams we are supposed to. 3-3 vs the twins so far? Not good.

I was happy to see Rondon sent down for a bit longer .... until I see Luke P being his replacement. Wouldn't have been a bad time to bring Below up if we still had him.

I just don't look at the Royals lineup and see a playoff team. I see a team that could be .500. But to me they aren't the same thing. But, I remember, back in the Higginson era, seeing the Tigers at the bottom of the Wildcard standings for a couple days. It brought a lot of excitement. Maybe the KC fans will get the same joy this season. But it still doesn't count as contending, to me. Luke Putkonen seriously got recalled?

Wow 6 out of your last 7 posts had raturd or inge or boesch in it......i guess when your mind finally forgets about the muzzer, it tends to drift towards your other man crushes.

Anyone ever notice the only time iffy brings up prince, miggy, or JV is when they mess up.....but yet he only brings raturd or inge up when they have a good game...
