Re: Rondon. So far, it is hard to see what DD and Tiger coaches saw in Mr. Rondon that would lead them to anoint him 'closer' over the winter.

Tigers face Houston starter Jordan Lyles today. The guy has a 7-20 lifetime record with a lifetime 5.34 ERA. I would like to see Detroit grab an early (and big) lead for Porcello....but we know from past experience that Tiger hitters seem to struggle when facing a bum starter.

Raburn has a day off today....so no news updates on him.

I'd like to see AJ get hot right now....with him on base more often, Cabrera's and Fielder's RBI counts should jump upwards quickly.

I would say that AB sums up why the Tigers struggle with lesser teams......Houston has nothing to lose and the coach gives him the green light with a 3-0 count......It goes over the fence and the Tigers are down 2-0.....
