We need excitement on this team. Perhaps Inge refuses his AAA assignment and becomes a free agent...Detroit signs him for Toledo. Get Boesch for a 'can of corn' from NY. With Bonderman, Jurrjens, Inge, and Boesch at Toledo....the good old days. (What ever happened to Shane Halter?)

Forgot a couple Iffy Thomas and Miller You living in Egypt cause I think you're starting to get a little SEE NILE forgetting them.

Looking at Jurrjens stats over the last two years (majors and minors).....I'd say that if he stays healthy, he might help the Mud Hens win a few games.

The picture I posted is from 1935 Detroit.....Charlie Gehringer worked in the off season at Hudson Department store and owned a few gas stations in Detroit......that is him in the picture......Could u imagine todays over paid bums having to work do real work in the off season to make ends meet??????

burf, I saw that too. Did you see the short video that went with the article? Really neat.

I recall that Al Kaline worked at Sears during the off season in the 50's. Hard to believe.
BTW...Gehringer did own the gas station...so I wonder how often he was out pumping gas.

I agree. Had hoped Tui would get the chance to start against a righty today. He and DK have collectively filled Miggys void decently well so far.
