I doubt Peralta is a Tiger next year. They were interested this off season in replacing him but could find no suitable replacements.

Add in the suspension and the fact he has left the Tigers in the lurch by playing the what if game this late in the season and I think Dave D will move on.

Tigers finally get to that elusive 11 games over .500 mark. The White Sox seem to be gift-wrapping this series for us (7 errors, 9 walks in two games), so let's keep it going!

I think Ricky has 8 QSs in his last 10 starts... I'll take that. Even with his season high in walks last night. And three reserves and an Avila hitting for him, we got another road win. Love to see one more today.

Hey smitty......i think viciendo is still trying to pick that ball up. Sox looked very bad news bearsish. Love it!

Had to listen to the hawk cry all night. At least he admits miggy is the best hitter on the planet.

I liked Jair, I know he did well in Atlanta for awhile, but what happened to him? Injury? confidence?

I hate the hawk, but boy is it fun when the Sox are getting blown out, It just takes the wind out of his sails and he almost becomes monotone when talking.

That Can of Corn and He gone busllshit sounds different when his Sox are down by 6. HAHHAHA.

Odd how some people don't understand the different passions fans have and how they are expressed. Hawk is a loyal, die-hard homer for the socks. He admits it, the TV station knows it, and many White Sox fans love him for it. In short, it is what he does. Announcers should show passion for their team, but yes, Hawk goes overboard. However, there is no doubt in my mind, that were I a White Sox fan, I'd take the Hawk - and it wouldn't be close - over some low key, white bread, commentator. You can ''put it on the board''.......yes! (Given a choice of the Hawk or Mario Impablum and Rod Alien.....Hawk is easy winner)

Ugh hawk makes me sick.

Muzzer, interesting i think he would be a good fit in oakland, any idea who we might nab for the pen yet, and is dotel returning this season or what.

Sounds like the A's might get him. Just rumor. Adrian might have some insight to that.
Yes the A's are interested in Peavy. i doubt with Sony Gray ready to go and Anderson soon to come off the DL they overpay. The interest is probably in response to the Rangers getting Garza.

I'll toss one name out there as a possiblity. Veras from Houston. SD has some good stuff too. I hope we get some pen help. Who knows, Maybe be make a big splash and get our SS for next year.

We can all agree Peralta shouldnt/won't be our Starter next year for a few reasons.

Sure is alot of sox fans over here who hate him. Hell steve stone hates him. DJ didnt like him either. Dont know if thats why he was replaced or not. Remember last year when we had the VIP tickets we walked right by the booth doors that they sit in. He had some old sap sitting in a chair. I guess they said it was his security. Guy was just as old as him.

Hawks problem is he cries about little things. Score could be 9-1 sox losing and he will blame the whole game on a balls and strikes call. If you listen you can see how stone always is the one to say "good pitch" when the other team paints a corner. If you think sox fans love him, youre crazy. I know alot who dont. In fact on cbs they had a thread about him and it was about 50/50 on his popularity.

Me myself, i know rod allen is disliked by alot of tiger fans, but i actually like him. Hes a homer, but not over the top like hawk. Hawk made an ass of himself last year when he got into it with that ump. In fact the game we went to was the next day vs the mariners. Hawk is the same guy who said tyler flowers would hit 30 HR's this year. Sorry but hawk isnt as liked as u think.

Well from the update. Tigers have signed Jurgens recently released by the O's and have assigned him to Toledo.

For some reason veras reminds me of another valverde. Maybe because he blew it against us.

as for the Tigers pen needs. With the pen sorting out as Rondon, Smyly and Benoit the need is for a lefty specialist and another seventh inning/setup guy. Luke Gregerson probably the best option. Padres looking for starting pitching. Not sure they can really get close to mlb starter for a reliever. Bonderman now perfect in 4 innings giving up 1 single in 4 appearances in 5 days. seems they are pushing to see what he can do.
