It'll be a shame when the JLA someday is replaced or renamed, taking on some corporate moniker. I love the Joe, not so keen on the "Fifth Third Arena" or whatever brings in the most dough.

As long as it is that building, it'll always be "the Joe", regardless of the name on the marquee.

That statement is technically the first one that is correct... but was not your original statement, nor was it your revised statement.

two statements were made.
1. "Only team NORTH of Canada." Proven incorrect
2. "ONLY CITY IN THE USA, that you have to travel south to go to Canada". Also proven incorrect.

You never said right or let turns were not eventually allowed into the equation, only the direction south.

:-D

Damn, are you a lawyer. I was careful and you proved me wrong. I am outta reps (but I know who I owe).

There is a strong move to replace JLA with an arena that is closer to the Stadiums and Casinos and seats for about 27,000 people. Good Marketing move me thinks.

27,000 seems like too much. The Joe is absolutely nuts when there are 20,000 rocking out hard, but it's on that borderline of lacking intimacy. 27,000 would just feel too big. I like it better when the fans are right on top of the players, it feels louder and more intimidating that way. 19,000 seems like a good number for seating capacity.

howcan you be the best sports city when you don't riot over games?

Because we don't commit violence while the game is on and if your team wins the big one ... we celebrate before seperating and getting violent again. If it is a case similar to Vancouver, we patry together a celebrate almost getting there (we have a low threshold of expectations) before we seperate a get violent again. Riots we cool in the 60's, they are so passe' now. Violence on the indivual is the in thing. And hopefully that person is carrying money or drugs.
