No way. Dude won't even be drafted in first round.
Watson is a top three overall pick. Depending on who gets the 49ers job he could very well go there. I think McDaniels or Kyle who take him in a second. If you design a offense specifically for Watson he will have success in the nfl. What a great game last night. I think Watson should have a higher draft grade than Vince young and RG3. Maybe even Goff and Wentz.
Deshaun Watson: NFL Draft News, Rumors & Predictions
Projections for him are all over the map. Specifically because of RG3 and perhaps Young many teams will be reluctant. Remember success in college quite often does not translate into success in the NFL especially at QB. If Watson wants to be make in the NFL he will have to be a lot more reckless than he is at the current time. I hope that he does well. BTW - I think that Wentz has a major advantage on all of these guys since he played in the rt system in college.
You are right but if you draft someone who played at North Dakota State at #2 how can Watson not be drafted in the top 3 picks when he played in the SEC and beat bama? The kid does have an arm too. If you are Cle, 49ers, or the bears how can you not? Your franchises are jokes. This would be a huge move to energize the fan base.
I think McDaniel's or Kyle would love to have this guy if they take the 49ers job.
Or it could be a move that sets a franchise back for years. Sound familiar?
NO b/c these teams do not have to give up the picks like we did in 2012. Watson has the best talent in this draft class and should be the #1 QB taken.
Doesn't matter if they don't trade up. They are still using a very high pick & committing their coaches and players towards a certain QB. If it doesn't work out then it likely sets the franchise back even more. In any case - you don't worry about what conference a player was in nor their star appeal. You look at whether that QB can do well in the NFL - not in college. These are two distinctly different games.
